Signed-in users can upload manuscript files (PDF or DOCX) and cover images so we can generate a report. Because the Service stores that material at the user’s direction, this page is the Digital Millennium Copyright Act notice procedure (17 U.S.C. § 512). The same section also appears in the Terms of Service.
We respect intellectual property rights. We qualify for the DMCA safe-harbour provisions as a service provider that stores content at the direction of users.
User responsibility: You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights, licences, and permissions to upload any manuscript or other content. You must not upload content that infringes the copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any third party.
Designated agent
If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice containing all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough information to locate it.
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email address).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act for the copyright owner.

Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and notify the user who uploaded it. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.
Counter-notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the same address. We will restore the content within 10–14 business days unless the complaining party files a court action.
