The commercial notes look at how a listing might be filled in: keyword phrases aimed at KDP's seven keyword slots, category suggestions, a description draft, subtitle options, advertising keywords, pricing notes, and comparable-title suggestions. The story notes look at the manuscript you uploaded: trope and genre observations, opening-page notes, and a short field summary. Higher tiers add a final assessment, series notes, cover notes, and optional add-on critiques. A redacted layout example, using a fictional title, is on the sample dossier page. That sample is not a promise that your scan will reach the same conclusions or use the same keywords.
The dossier is research you edit. BookIntelReport does not log into Amazon, does not file your listing, and does not change a live book page. An optional browser extension can help copy fields from a dossier into KDP screens you already have open. You still review those fields and you still press submit. What you submit for a scan
You need an account, a paid tier or an unused bundle credit, a PDF or DOCX manuscript, and basic metadata such as title, genre, and the markets you care about. The new-scan form lets you select among US, UK, CA, AU, DE, FR, ES, and IT. There is no minimum page count. Opening-page and trope notes are more useful when the file includes real manuscript pages rather than only a one-paragraph pitch. Upload only a manuscript you have the rights to analyze.
You keep the copyright. Uploading grants Taciturn Studios LLC only a limited right to process the file for that report. The service does not sell manuscript text. Your book record can keep the report plus a short excerpt and extracted notes so you can reopen the dossier. The privacy policy states how long uploaded files are kept, including deletion of manuscript files on the schedule written there.
Keyword and competitor data are optional. You can paste your own research, including a Publisher Rocket export, use Amazon autocomplete suggestions when that option is offered, or use Rainforest market data if an API key is configured for the account. A key can be saved in settings, and the server can also use a RAINFOREST_API_KEY when one is set. A scan can still run from the manuscript alone. Search-volume and competition figures appear only when a data source supplies them. They are not Amazon's official statistics, and a manuscript-only scan does not invent a live sales forecast.
What comes back, and how long it takes
When the dossier is ready it shows up in your dashboard. Most scans finish in a few minutes, often under three. A longer manuscript or a busy queue can take longer. A typical turnaround under three minutes is not a guaranteed clock time. You can export a completed report as PDF, DOCX, or a keyword CSV, and you can reopen it from report history.
The wording is generated with AI from your manuscript and any keyword or competitor data you choose to attach. AI output can be wrong, generic, outdated, or a poor fit for your book. Check names, categories, prices, ASINs, and comparable titles before you use them. Treat every figure as a note to verify, not as a measurement Amazon published.

A BookIntel report is not a promise of bestseller rank, sales, reviews, ad performance, category eligibility, or royalties. Amazon results depend on factors this site does not control, including your cover, price, blurb, category rules, ads, and reader demand. No statement on this site promises a particular rank or revenue number.
It is not a human developmental editor, copy editor, proofreader, literary agent, cover designer, or publishing house. An optional Devil's Advocate pass is an AI critique written as a hostile reader of commercial weak spots. An optional Field Agent pass is a simulated reader debrief.
